Strolling for Service Dogs Walk - Alpha Bravo Canine

Alpha Bravo Canine ™️ is a registered 501(c)3 organization that raises, trains and donates service dogs to disabled veterans suffering from PTS, TBI and other combat related disabilities. They also offer full lifetime support to all of our veteran and service dog teams. Come join us for a fun day out with your dog while supporting a local nonprofit organization and give back to our local veterans in need of a service dog. Each registration will receive a swag bag, including a T-shirt and dog bandanna along with any sponsor give aways.  Guaranteed to the first 200 registrations.  Kids games, face-painting and more.  Plenty of raffles to choose from and being called at 2p. As part of Lenape Valley Foundation’s agency-wide suicide prevention program, a candlelight vigil will be held on Thursday, September 15. 2022 in the courtyard at the Bucks County Courthouse.

Held annually, the candlelight vigil for suicide prevention memorialized the victims of suicide, offered support for family members and friends touched by suicide, and offers hope for the future.

The event is free and open to the public. It will feature speakers from Lenape Valley Foundation, Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force, NAMI Bucks County, and your Abbey's Bakery Team.

The event, which will be open to everyone in the community, will be the kickoff of numerous township-wide events as we approach the anniversary of the tornado that struck Upper Dublin on 9.1.12. Following will be an Inter-Faith Reflection Service from 7:00 – 7:45 on the outdoor space on the property.

Join us Wednesday May 4th for a screening of My Ascension, “A Documentary Film and Movement to Spread Hope and Fight Suicide”.

My Ascension: A suicide attempt left 16-year-old varsity cheerleader Emma Benoit paralyzed, but propelled her on a mission to use her painful experience to help others find hope and stay alive.

The 90 minute film screening will be followed by an important discussion on youth mental wellness, with resources provided. Speakers include Emma Benoit, filmmaker Greg Dicharry, local mental health advocates (Including Abbey’s Bakery Co-Founder, Kayla Wolf) and students.

This Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Awareness Event is being hosted by Temple University (Ambler Campus) in partnership with the Bucks County Suicide Prevention Task Force, the Montgomery County Suicide Prevention Task Force, The Horsham Clinic, Brooke Glen Behavioral Health, Magellan Healthcare, and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Do you find yourself worrying about these things, too, and wonder how you can best help your child? Dr. Katherine Dahlsgaard will share scientifically-based strategies to help better understand and manage your child’s stresses and anxieties. As a licensed and board certified clinical psychologist with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for child anxiety disorders, Dr. Dahlsgaard will describe what is normal versus problematic anxiety and detail positive parenting strategies that will help you and your child to connect and thrive.

The candles help us not only shine light on the issue, but also BE THE LIGHT in this time of need.
